*SAILING REOPENS WEDNESDAY 23rd SEPTEMBER*

We have decided that with new restrictions, it is now safe enough to resume sailing.
It is important that if you were signed up for sailing trips in the next two weeks you now check the calendar, as we have had to reduce the number of crew on each sailing trip. You may have been removed from some trips.

Here are the rules for sailing:
– The limit on every boat is 3 peoples (1 skipper + 2 members) including on Bella
– Each boat can sail only once per day
With the reduced capacity of the boat, we decided to add some restriction to the booking of sailing:
– People can only book for 1 sailing at a time. This means that if I have a sailing on Thursday, I cannot book another sailing before I have done my sailing. So after Thursday I can book a new sailing. If 24 hours before a sailing there is still a spot free, any member can book those free spots, whether they already have another sailing booked or not.

Please note that if you are new to the club and were only able to complete one beginner sailing, you are allowed to sign up for member sailing. Just let the skipper know when you arrive.

What you should do now, as a member of BSI Seiling:
– Check the calendar and what sailing you are signed up for. If you can’t make it, tell the skipper.
– Ensure you have read all the rules above and below and are prepared to follow them.

Here are some rules that will be printed and put in each boat. Remember to follow them:
– Everyone must use the hand sanitizer at the beginning and at the end of the sailing. There is a bottle on each boat.
– Everyone must remember not to touch their face during sailing, and if must, clean your hands as soon as possible.
– Everyone must keep a meter apart while sailing, unless there is an emergency situation or a crew member really needs help.
– If any crew feels ill they must go home and not join the sailing.
– If any crew member becomes ill after sailing they must inform their skipper and then the BSI Seiling Board as soon as possible.
